Expedition vehicle equipped for winter travel

A season of rentals: how our rooftop tents held up

Rental fleets are the hardest test equipment can face. A season with our GOBI partners taught us more than any specification sheet.

A rooftop tent in private hands might open a few dozen times a year. In a rental fleet it opens almost every day, often in the dark, often in weather, and almost always in the hands of someone using one for the first time. That gap is the whole reason Infinite exists.

When we began equipping partner vehicles, we expected the fabric to be the first thing to give. It wasn’t. [Replace with what actually failed first, and where.]

Equipment does not fail in the showroom. It fails at the end of a long day, in the cold, when someone is tired.

Our own fleet is the test bed. Every item we supply is used by the people we supply it to, in the conditions they work in, before it reaches a partner’s vehicle. That is what the word tested is doing in our name, and it is not a marketing claim we can make without the fleet behind it.

What we changed

[Replace with the specification changes that came out of the season — hardware, materials, assembly, whatever moved.]

What we kept

[Replace with what held up unchanged, and why that matters for partners choosing equipment for a fleet.]

Everything we learn this way goes back to the brands we source from, and into the next specification we write. It is a slower way to build a catalogue than buying from a trade show floor, and it is the only way we are willing to do it.
